		<description>Good article that shows Volvo&#039;s safety leadership. Still these 240 / 740 cars do not compare to the technology available in new cars (www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBDyeWofcLY), and contrary to some opinions, new Volvo&#039;s are world&#039;s safer than their ancestors.

And not to be too much of a Volvo nerd, but a couple of things... 700&#039;s did not have ABS until the 760 in around 1987, 740&#039;s around 1990. Also 960&#039;s got side airbags for the 1996 year model in the US.</description>
