One way to tell if Irv is bored between road trips

As Irv Gordon racks up a few more miles towards 3 million, I can tell the walls off his Long Island, NY home must be closing in on him. Yesterday he sent this over:
Irv…go to Atlanta for lunch!

Irv bored? Simply no such thing. For I know Irv, at the first sign of restlessness he’s in that cherry ’66S and is off to Atlanta for lunch – Or Montreal – Or Columbus, OH or any point in the compass. And because he’s driving such a cute little red car, there is always somebody waving and he’ll wave back. There is no such thing as a quick gas stop in a Volvo 1800 – somebody always wants to know what it is.
Pelle Petterson definitely designed a car with style that gets attention. And all of us that simply get out and drive smile away while doing it. It may not be a powerful sports car, but as a Grand Touring car it is the best.

Irv should head for Elkhart Lake, WI and Road America next weekend for the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival and Saturday night’s Gathering on the Green at the Osthoff Resort. He, ‘d be a real hit. And he could help Farrington and me as we start our Alex’s Lemonade Stand experience.
